Sandspit
Airport in the Queen Charlotte Island
chain of British Columbia is
also one of the most popular stopover
airfields in the area. Many pilots choose
Sandspit as a refueling stop while making
a long trip from the mainland U.S. to
Alaska. In this release we have included
not only Sandspit Airport but also Masset
Municipal, which lies about 50 miles to
the north, as well as a private cabin
known as Mr. Franks
Place complete with a seaplane dock
located in the Masset Inlet, about
halfway between Sandspit and Masset.
Other scenery extras include custom AI
traffic, including an Air Canada Dash-8 -
that represents the official commercial
airline and aircraft that flies into
Sandspit daily - and a Coastal Pacific
private charter Grumman Goose at Masset.
So, whether you are just stopping in for
fuel and a cup of coffee, or you are
planning to do some sightseeing in the
area, Sandspit will not disappoint you.
Birds in Flight and animated marine life
will only add to the overall experience,
so we invite you to take a look at what
has affectionately become know as
The Sandspit Project today!
